Social Policy :

Organization  of a Debate  on “ The Law Decree 11/09 (against stalking) and the EU actions in matters of violence against women” with the participation of the  Information Office of the EU Parliament for Italy – Rome- 6th May 2010- Sala delle Bandiere – Via IV Novembre 149
Women's Rights  in an International Contest
Coorganization  with the Women's Interamerican Commission (CIM) and Cefial with the support of the EU Commission Representation   in Milan of The Conference “ Strengthen the strategic relationship EU and Latin America – and speech  by the Secretary General on “ The actions towards women's empowerment “ within the sesssion “ Beijing+15 in the EU and in Latin America: Women in decision making”. Lef-Italia is also a coofunder of the Euro-Latin American Women's Forum, launched during the same event – Milan 24th-25th September 2010, Palazzo delle Stelline, Sala Volta.
Participation of the President Siusi Casaccia and the Secretary General to the Conference “WOMANist – International Istanbul Women's Meeting” on invitation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean and organized By Istanbul Reserch Centre on Women (IKAM) and to the special session “How women NGOs and Women Parliamentarian could work better together”- Istanbul - 5-6th November 2010- Harbive Congress Centre.

2. Highlights from your work/situation/ projects at national level or in your European organisation
Lef-Italia has actively partecipated in the EU Commission Campaign on Gender Pay Gap involving also its member organization Working Mothers Italy
Strong Lobbying action through press conference, interviews  and mailing to the Italian Meps for  the voting of the Parental Leave at the EP in october
Appointment of the Italian representative at EWL Conference on Prostitution (3dt December 2010)
Organization of a meeting with member and non member organizations  in order   to decide the guide-lines of the implementation of EWL Campaign “ For a Europe free from Prostitution” (December 2010)
Organization of six Board meetings and the annual General Assembly during 2010
All  EWL documents and newsflashes were distributed to members, to interested women's organizations and to institutions  together with  some translation of them .
Regular participation and support in women's rights campaign throughout the Country when required
Since 2010,The Italian Coordination has a facebook page and a fb group where relevant national and EU women's issues are published and is planning a future web site for bettering networking and information flow.
The relations with the Ministry for Equality were difficult, due to the fact that the Government in force do not recognize civil society. The Unit for Human Rights of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs continued inviting Lef-Italia for the consultation on the drafting of the Italian CEDAW Report.
Lef-Italia has started supporting and providing a student of the Faculty of Political Sciences in Turin to who has been assigned a Doctorate Thesis on EWL ,with documents, policy papers and interviews  .
 The partnership given to Formaper (Training Institute of the Chamber of Commerce of Milan) for the IBPP projects in Russia and Uzbekistan on marginalized women's capacity building gave Lef-Italia the opportunity to inform on EWL , the work done at national level by the Coordination and to exchange good practices increasing the networking at international level.
